About Us

My Philosophy

I was born in Brooklyn at the now defunct Midwood Hospital and have been working in the East New York community of Brooklyn for the last 24 years as a urologist. I understand that the neighborhood is a "melting pot" of people and cultures. The people have a wide array of economic and social conditions. This understanding is critical to providing effective and quality health care to the community. Patients have traveled from all parts of the world to receive their urologic health care in my practice. My philosophy in treating people is that "one size does not fit all". In order to treat an individual it is often necessary to understand their social, cultural and economic conditions. The physician needs to see the patient in the context of his family, culture, economic situation and community. In other words, I see it as essential to deal with the whole person and not just the organ or disease that I am treating in order to provide effective and quality health care to my patients. This has been and always will be the philosophy of my practice; the understanding and routine of patient care which has guided my practice for the last 24 years, and will continue until I treat my last patient.
